Russian sales of Ford Sollers rise 87% to 10,000 cars in Jan–Mar
MOSCOW, Apr 6 (PRIME) -- Russian car sales of Ford Sollers, a joint venture between American automaker Ford Motor Company and car producer Sollers, rose 87% on the year to almost 10,000 cars in January–March, the joint venture said in a statement on Wednesday.
Sales of Ford Kuga cars almost doubled in the period, new Ford Mondeo sales increased 83%, new Ford Explorer sales went up 67% and new Ford Focus sales grew 11%.
Ford Sollers’ market share increased 1.7 percentage points on the year to 3% in January–March.
According to the Association of European Businesses (AEB), sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia fell 20.8% on the year to 193,072 cars in January–February.
